An adapter hose comes included for connecting the grill to a standard 20-pound LP tank (not included). Not sure what to grill first? Weber throws in a handy recipe booklet for getting started. “My grill arrived as scheduled, in time for grilling over a spring weekend with house guests on hand. Grill was somewhat complex to assemble, and I was disappointed to realized that my unit was missing one of the two wheels affixed to the bottom of the cart. Customer service was friendly and prompt; however
I first assembled the grill on a Saturday morning (for use Saturday evening) and of course the extra part would not arrive for a few days. I received the missing part by expedited shipping the following Tuesday. So all in all pretty good service.
I’ve used the grill for about three weeks now and find it quite good – just the basic functionality no extra bells and whistles that aren’t useful. Side shelves are sturdy and provide good useful space (free of any extra gas burners which I never use anyway).
I can recommend this grill, but suggest that you purchase it a week before you want to use it for the first time, to allow time to resolve any issues related to missing parts.”
“This grill is great. The size is nice for 3 to 4 people, it heats quickly, uses little gas, and holds temperature well. Since the temperature holds so well, in addition to the usual grill fare, I have been able to bake frozen pizzas several times, and a 7 pound ham. They all came out exceptional. We use this grill out in the woods at our off grid cabin.
The only thing that is different compared to most grills is that there is not any kind of “flavorizer” bars. So the heat is more direct with less smoke then most grills provide. Having two burners lets you cook using indirect heat which works nice for thick cuts (like a 7 pound ham – about 300 to 350 for 2 hours), or easy to burn foods (like a frozen pizza – lower temp then the wrapper says, we use about 350). It is a heavy grill for it’s size when the tank is attached and the cart isn’t real easy to move over uneven ground.
Real short hand holds make you stand really close to the grill while moving it, and this makes you have to baby shuffle steps when moving it. Much easier to just carry it with two people. Overall, this is a great appliance. I can not comment on durability long term since we have only had it for a couple of months. It does seem very sturdy and feels like it will last a long time.”
